Barcelona defender Junior Firpo is one of the players on the radar of Leeds United as the Whites try to sign a left-back this summer. BBC Sports confirmed that Firpo is one of several left-back targets for Leeds United who finished ninth in the Premier League last season.
Bielsa and Leeds United would be hoping to build on the impressive first season back amongst the big boys in the Premier League and some signings could help in this regard. The Whites are looking for a new left-back this summer and Firpo is on their list of targets as established earlier.
The aforementioned report claimed that Barcelona would be ready to sell Firpo for €15m (£12.8m) and that Leeds United are not the only team interested in the second choice Barcelona left-back. Spanish international Jordi Alba is the first choice left-back at the Nou Camp.
Southampton and the Milan duo of Inter Milan and AC Milan are also keen on signing the 24-year-old Barcelona player.
Leeds United have other left-back options in the event that they miss out on the signing of Spanish defender Firpo. Their other left-back targets are 23-year-old Romain Perrud from French Ligue 1 outfit Brest and 26-year-old Javi Galan of Spanish team Huesca.
North Macedonia international Ezgjan Alioski was the first choice left-back at Leeds United last season but he has few days left on his current deal though the 29-year-old has been offered a new contract and it remains to be seen if the player will take the new offer. Northern Ireland international Stuart Dallas was also a regular option for Bielsa at left-back last season.
